Take in some amazing breath taking views from Whitianga to Blenheim. Fly through the interior of the North Island stopping at some key landmarks. Take time out to enjoy trout fishing, mountain top walks, and a local aviation museum. Visit some local vineyards, experience the spectacular Marlborough Sounds and Farewell Spit. And on return even a flight above the Forgotten World Highway is a possibility (weather permitting).

Key Tour Details

  • Tour covers 7 days, 6 nights.

  • Depart from and return to Whitianga.

  • Stay overnight in the following towns/bays: Martinborough, Awaroa Inlet (in the Abel Tasman National Park), Nopera (in the Kenepuru Sounds), Blenheim, Stratford and/or Turangi.

  • Actual flight time: 9 - 10 hours.

Included In the Cost

  • 6 nights accommodation, staying at 4-Star+ level accommodation.

  • All meals and food.

  • Any land-based activities and excursions.

  • Hire of any rental vehicle at any location.

Optional Land-Based Activities

Over the 7 day period we visit a number of towns in the lower North Island and upper South Island regions. This gives our visitors great opportunity to enjoy some amazing land-based activities. This includes:

  • Walking adventures in the Marlborough Sounds, fishing trips, scenic driving tours.

  • Viewing of back country airstrips and deer farms.

  • Visiting the local aviation museum, the Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre.

  • Visiting local wineries and vineyards.

  • Enjoying a spot of trout fishing or deer spotting.

Confirming Your Booking | Booking Deposit

  • To confirm your booking a deposit of 20% of your tour cost is required. ($2400 NZD).

  • This deposit is refundable in full if cancellation occurs up until 2 months of tour commencement. Thereafter, a cancellation fee of 50% of the deposit will apply if cancellation occurs up until one month prior to tour commencement.

  • No refund of deposit will occur if cancellation occurs within 30 days of tour commencement.

Day one highlights

  • Fly south from Whitianga to Turangi airfield with a short walk beside the river to the township. (Trout fishing a possibility)
  • Lunch at a selected cafe followed by a return to airstrip and depart for Masterton.

  • Completing the day with a short 20 minute flight to Martinborough for an overnight at a country hotel among the vines.
